Zero Waste Manager Course
The Zero Waste Manager Course equips participants with essential skills in waste management, focusing on the implementation and monitoring of recycling and waste management strategies within organisations. The course covers key aspects of waste management, recycling, hazardous waste management, and the NEA waste management regulations, including the Mandatory Waste Reporting (MWR) scheme.
Participants will learn to integrate the 3R principles (Reduction, Reuse, Recycling) into their company culture and comply with local regulations. This waste management training is ideal for those looking to enhance their expertise in sustainable practices and stay current with the latest waste management initiatives in Singapore.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
Upon completing the Zero Waste Manager course, participants will be able to:
- Describe waste issues, waste management policies and regulations
- Understand Mandatory Waste Reporting and its requirements
- Identify General Waste Collectors and types for recycling and waste management
- Understand 3R (Reduction, Reuse and Recycling) and implement 3R Programme(s)
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders
PRE-REQUISITES
- Competent in using MS Excel (Microsoft Excel 2007 and later) and/or Google applications (e.g. Google Sheets, Google Drive)
- Hardware & Software
- This course will be conducted as a Virtual Live Class (VLC) via Zoom platform or Physical Face-to-Face Classroom Training.
- Participants must own a Zoom account and have a laptop or a desktop with “Zoom Client for Meetings” installed. Download from zoom.us/download.
- For VLC class, participants need to have their own laptops with Microsoft Excel installed and access to Google applications.
