Certified Facilities Management Company (CFMC)

The Certified Facilities Management Companies (CFMC) accreditation scheme aims to recognise, raise professionalism, and improve the competencies of FM Companies (FMC), with a focus on those providing facilities management services.
 
The CFMC scheme was officially launched by Mr Tan Kiat How, Minister of State, Ministry of Ministry of Communications and Information & Ministry of National Development during SIFMA Official Office Opening on 22 July 2021.

 

 

SIFMA administers the accreditation schemes through an Accreditation Panel, a Disciplinary Board and Appeal Committee; which comprise of SIFMA Board Members and thought leaders within the facilities management sector.


FMC may apply for any of the following tiers:

  1. Certified Facilities Management Company
  2. Certified Facilities Management Company (Gold)
  3. Certified Facilities Management Company (Goldᴾᴵᵘˢ)

Credentials are valid for 2 years. Renewal for the same tier will be based on the validity of the company's supporting documents. Existing CFMC accredited companies who wish to upgrade to a higher tier will have to reapply.

Revised Evaluation Criteria for CFMC Accreditation with effect from 1 January 2027

The CFMC accreditation plays a key role in driving industry transformation by establishing a benchmark for excellence in FM operations and services, while ensuring companies are well-prepared to meet future challenges and emerging trends.​ As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure that the accreditation remains relevant and aligned with evolving industry needs, the CFMC evaluation criteria will be revised with effect from 1 January 2027.

Required Supporting Documents

  • Completed Application form
  • Audited Statement of Accounts and ACRA Biz Profile
  • A copy of BizSAFE certificate or ISO 45001 or OHSAS 18001*
  • A copy of SAC-accredited ISO 9001 or ISO 41001 certificate* (with scope of activities being "Facilities Management"/"Property Management")
  • A copy of Business Continuity Management (BCM) Plan or Singapore Standard (SS) ISO 22301* (with scope of activities being "Facilities Management"/"Property Management")
  • A copy of SAC-accredited ISO 14001 certificate* (with scope of activities being "Facilities Management"/"Property Management")
  • A copy of the Company Organization Chart showing names and designation of staff members
  • A scanned copy of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) /Collective Agreement (CA) with a union, showing clause(s) on forming a Company Training Committee (CTC) or Individual Development Plan
  • Document showing employee's enrolment in BCA LEAD Horizon Programme /LEAD Milestone Programme and letter from HR confirming that the certificate holder(s) is/are empoyee(s) at time of application

Note: 

  • The expiry for BizSAFE / ISO 9001 / 14001 / 41001 / SS ISO 22301 must have a validity of more than 6 months from the date of application.
  • Human Capital Diagnostic Tool is a national framework for measuring firms’ Human Capital capabilities in meeting their business and workforce needs.
  • All ISO Certificate to include scope of activities clearly defined as "Facility Management“
  • While the CFME scheme accepts applications from all nationalities, the CFMC criteria only recognize accredited CFMEs who are Singapore citizens or permanent residents
