SGBC Lunch & Learn: Exploring Sustainable Solutions for Efficient Data Centre Cooling
Building on the enriching session held in June last year, this lunch & learn session by SGBC Member ebm-papst SEA explores sustainable air-cooling solutions that enhance efficiency and minimise environmental impact in data centres. It will focus on Electronic Commutation (EC) technology, examining how EC motors and fans optimise energy usage and operational costs. The session will also delve into the role of Active Power Factor Correction (Active PFC) in mitigating harmonics and lowering installation costs for the power supply.
In addition, the session will explore the key environmental benefits of sustainable data centre cooling, including reduced carbon emissions and energy consumption, as well as operational considerations and economic implications. Case studies will further illustrate successful implementations and offer insights into future trends.
