ISO 14064-1 and GHG Emissions Reporting (Scope 1 & 2) with Digital Technology
In line with Singapore's goal of net zero emissions by 2050, starting in 2025, all listed companies must report Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions according to ISO 14064-1. This requirement will eventually include non-listed firms as well.
This ISO 14064-1 course equips professionals with the skills needed to comply with climate-reporting regulations and implement effective GHG management systems. By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the requirements of ISO 14064-1:2018 standard
- Define GHG inventory boundaries
- Categorise and calculate carbon emissions
- Generate GHG Emissions Reports using digital tools
MODULE SYNOPSIS
This ISO 14064-1 course outlines the essential principles and requirements, providing individuals with the necessary knowledge and skills to actively contribute to accurate categorisation, measurement and the generation of GHG emissions reporting according to ISO 14064-1 (Categories 1 and 2). Participants will also learn to use digital technology such as carbon accounting platform (e.g., NXMap) to generate a carbon accounting (GHG emissions) report efficiently in strict accordance with ISO 14064-1 quality standard as well as GHG Protocol (Scope 1 and 2).
The built-in pre-assured methodology for emission computation will allow seamless auto report generation quickly. Participants can use the digital platform to measure and identify their greenhouse gas emission hotspots at an organizational, business unit or facility level. Organisation can integrate environmental sustainability through the development, implementation and review of their sustainability strategies and programmes.
